The Cannabis Cup is one of the most awaited festivals in Netherlands. It's held every year during the month of November in the city of Amsterdam. The festival of this festival are most unique of all, involving the use of Marijuana. Much of the marijuana present at the Cup is from the different coffee shops around Amsterdam. Also tagged as the High Times Cannabis Cup, this festival is the world's preeminent Cannabis festival.

Major Attractions
The Cannabis Cup traces its origin in the year 1947 when Steven Hager organized the first High Times Cannabis Cup. This event features a team of VIP judges decide which seed company has grown the best marijuana. Judges from all over the world sample and vote for their favorite marijuana strains. These judges-at-large decide the overall winner in the cannabis strain competition for the category of best new product, best booth, best glass, best hash and best Nederhash. Besides this, the Cannabis Cup also features live music, comedy and an expo for marijuana-related products from cannabis-oriented businesses. The event is widely endorsed by activists who fight for decriminalization of marijuana. Recently, High Times created the Medical Cannabis Cup - an event that celebrates the medical marijuana movement in America. The first High Times Medical Cannabis Cup took place in San Francisco, California June 19-20.
