The Fire festival Regatta of celebrated in the city of Silkeborg in central Denmark. The city is divided north and south by the lake, the Silkeborg Langso, which at the eastern side of the city, resolves into the Guden River (Gudenaa). It's along this lake where the fire festival of Regatta is organized. Besides the famous Riverboat Jazz festival at the end of the year, Silkebprg hosts this fire festival after every three years, usually in the first or second week of August. Last Fire Festival Regatta was held in the year 2008.

This Fire festival Regatta holds recognition as one of Europe"s largest fireworks displays. It's a week long event with exquisite fireworks every night. The final night of this week long event is an everlasting memory if you have been a witness. During the fire festival Regatta, an unusual juxtaposition of appreciating the glorious lakeside scenery and competition is done by lining candles along the lake boundary. Besides this, a fun fair a variety of entertainment and lake cruises to better take in the candles and display of light add to the excitement. The event traces its origin back in 1899 when it was started by he name of since 'Ildfestregatta', meaning ' fire party regatta'. During this fire festival, streets are closed at night and there is then held live music along with laser shows, an amusement park and more. Amazing show of fireworks is held every night at 11:15 p.m., where an intense competition goes on between various companies. Every night the fireworks are sponsored by a different fireworks manufacturer, which is then competing against the other companies to have the prettiest show.
