Floriade is a much awaited flower and entertainment festival in Australia. It's an annual event held during spring from mid September to mid October in the state of Canberra. Also popular by the name of "Australia's Celebration of Spring", the Floriade is considered to be the most important regular event for tourism in the Australian Capital Territory. The Floriade festival was started as a one off celebration of Canberra's 75th birthday and Australia's bicentenary of European settlement in the year 1988. Recognized as the largest flower festival in the Southern hemisphere, the Floriade is held every year having a new theme. The main attraction of this flower festival is an extensive display of flowering bulbs with integrated sculptures and other artistic features.
